I clipped a curb at speed last week, one of those moments where you misjudge a turn and hear a horrible crunch. The car still drives but the steering feels slightly off and there's a new vibration at highway speeds that wasn't there before. Now I'm worried I've done something to the chassis or the subframe, which sounds like it could be serious. I found a
helpful guide to chassis damage repair while trying to work out whether this is fixable, but I'd rather hear from people who've actually had this happen. Can chassis damage realistically be repaired, or is it usually the end of the car? And what should I be checking in the meantime before I take it in? I'm hoping it's just an alignment issue, but the vibration has me concerned.
