We've been buying cardboard boxes for our warehouse for years and it's one of those costs you stop noticing until you add it up. Someone suggested switching to
plastic crates instead and I'm trying to work out if the upfront cost actually pays off. My concern is that plastic can get brittle in the heat if it's stored somewhere sunny, and I'd rather not spend a chunk of money on crates that crack after a year. For anyone who's made the switch, how long have your crates actually lasted in this climate, and did you find the break-even point came sooner than you expected? Also curious whether they stack as neatly as cardboard, because space is tight and that matters.
